They charge very high rates and as far as possible, it is better to avoid them. In case you have no other alternative, bargain with them and they will agree for a lower taxi charge.

The weather forecast Torrevieja loves is such a pleasant one that it’s easy to see why the locals adore it so much. For starters, humidity is never an issue. That alone was music to my ears when I first moved here. I came from the United State’s deep south, where the saying, “You can cut the air with a knife,” isn’t much of an exaggeration. So, when I inhaled my first breath of Spanish air during the summer when we first moved here, I was delighted, to say the least. Besides the lack of humidity, though, there are other factors that make the weather here so wonderful.

The winters are extremely mild. At their lowest, temperatures bottom out at approximately twelve degrees Celsius during the month of January. At the other end of the spectrum, it’s not uncommon for the thermometer to read as much as twenty-seven during the summer months of July and August. Even during the month of April, which is statistically Torrevieja’s wettest, rainfall tops out at around seventy-one millimeters. During the driest month of July, on the other hand, it hardly ever rains at all.
